Board of Directors
The Strathmore & District Chamber is managed by a Board of Directors elected at the Annual General Meeting or appointed by the Board interim. The directors are volunteers, who set the policies and goals of the organization.

Terri Kinsman – President
Rocking R Guest Ranch
Terri has over 20 years in management within the Canadian Oil and Gas Industry plus 9 Years in the Hospitality Industry. Together with her husband Marv, they built a successful guest ranch on their beautiful property east of Strathmore. In 2010, the Rocking R Guest Ranch was nominated, by Travel Alberta, for a Growing Rural Tourism Award and in the same year they were the recipient of the WestJet value award for the Top Hotel in Canada.
Terri has served on the Board of Directors for the Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort and Spa in Osoyoos, BC where she was part of the team responsible for developing a new marketing strategy for the resort. Terri was also on the Board for the Community Crisis Shelter in Health Region 5 and was instrumental in the building of a multi-million dollar Crisis Shelter in Strathmore.
She is currently working with Canadian Badlands Tourism (CBT) to market CBT as the next iconic tourism destination in Alberta. Terri also sits on the Alberta Strategic Tourism Council.
Robert Wells –
County of Wheatland
Bob is a small business owner who has lived in Strathmore for the past ten years. He brings extensive experience in various volunteer positions for the City of Calgary and the Province of Alberta.
His primary focus was helping minor hockey Calgary and was instrumental in the building of the Don Hartman North East Sportsplex. He was president and/or director on many boards involved in minor sports.

Jill Crossland Consulting
Editor, Entrepreneurial Life Today
Through her company Jill Crossland Consulting & online magazine Entrepreneurial Life Today Jill strives to make a difference by providing realistic solutions and resources for entrepreneurs. She helps her clients put all the pieces in place and along the way relieve some of their stress. Her clients stretch across Canada and the US and she is currently looking towards international growth.
Jill’s education includes a degree in Business Management, studies in English, Life Coach and Councillor training.
Jill founded Wheatland Business Women a professional business women’s group that voluntarily disbanded after 10 successful years. She has since joined the Strathmore Chamber Board of Directors where she also assists with their brand development as well as the print and online marketing.
Rocky Blokland – Director
Representative for Town of Strathmore
Rocky has resided in Strathmore for 16 years; married to his wife Ellie for 31 years and they have 4 children, 13 grandchildren. Rocky has been in the baking industry since 1965; so when he moved to Strathmore buying Rocky’s Bakery which he has owned and operated since 2000 was a natural fit.
Rocky is a strong advocate for all Strathmore has to offer. He loves that it is situated close to friends and family in Calgary, BC and the United states. Currently serving his second term as a town councillor “I enjoy trying to make Strathmore a better place for the citizens to live in and enjoy.”
Shelley Toderian –
Shelley joined the Chamber in March 2015 to become more involved with the community having recently moved with her family from Calgary. She has been an engaged community leader with board experience, spending numerous years as a volunteer working for various community, sports and home owners’ organizations.
Shelley retired from TELUS Communications Inc. as a management employee of many disciplines. Her experience ranges from managing operations, interacting with sales and marketing, human resources, and enjoyed her leadership role of Customer Service teams, supporting small businesses to international clients. Her management training and experience has been an asset in her new role as Executive Director of the Chamber.
She is enjoying being a member of the Strathmore & District Chamber of Commerce, a team focused on the promotion and recognition of Strathmore as a town and supporting the amazing businesses and people running them.
