Board of Directors
The Strathmore & District Chamber is managed by a Board of Directors elected at the Annual General Meeting or appointed by the Board interim. The directors are volunteers, who set the policies and goals of the organization.

Terri Kinsman – President
Rocking R Guest Ranch
Terri has over 20 years in management within the Canadian Oil and Gas Industry plus 9 Years in the Hospitality Industry. Together with her husband Marv, they built a successful guest ranch on their beautiful property east of Strathmore. In 2010, the Rocking R Guest Ranch was nominated, by Travel Alberta, for a Growing Rural Tourism Award and in the same year they were the recipient of the WestJet value award for the Top Hotel in Canada.
Terri has served on the Board of Directors for the Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort and Spa in Osoyoos, BC where she was part of the team responsible for developing a new marketing strategy for the resort. Terri was also on the Board for the Community Crisis Shelter in Health Region 5 and was instrumental in the building of a multi-million dollar Crisis Shelter in Strathmore.
She is currently working with Canadian Badlands Tourism (CBT) to market CBT as the next iconic tourism destination in Alberta. Terri also sits on the Alberta Strategic Tourism Council.
Wanda Reinholdt – Vice President
Wanda is passionate about telling great stories that motivate and inspire audiences to change their perspectives, attitudes or approach. Her ability to listen and transform a story to different art mediums is second-to-none, making her a highly sought-after director/producer in Alberta.
Winner of Best Director and Best Actress at the Alberta One Act Festival (2009) for her production of Graceland, Wanda has continued to be a pioneer for female directors across the country. She served on the directing team for the feature, The Great Fear, and has directed numerous short films including Perogy Boyz, and Belong…Create…Connect for the Hope Bridges Society. Wanda’s directing with Barrett Hileman showcased her work to audiences around North America, but her time with Burnt Thicket Theatre exposed Wanda to a world of authentic storytelling on a more personal level. Most recently, Wanda directed the TELUS-supported short film, Are you Listening? A Pathway to Empathy.
Beyond the director’s chair, Wanda has served on numerous boards as President, Secretary and Director. In addition to her undergrad degrees in Theatre and Music, Wanda has completed film, directing and acting apprenticeships, has an IRP in Design and participated in a Directing Mentorship. She is the artistic director for Reinholdt Productions and focuses on developing real-life stories and translating them to film, stage or canvas.
Wanda is a member in good standing with the Alberta Media Production Industries Association (AMPIA) and the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers (CSIF). And is excited about serving the great community of Strathmore and Wheatland County.
David Wilks – Treasurer
Long time ATB Branch Manager, David says Strathmore has so much to offer. It is a great place to live and have fun with your family and others in the community.
Robert Wells – Director
County of Wheatland
Bob is a small business owner who has lived in Strathmore for the past ten years. He brings extensive experience in various volunteer positions for the City of Calgary and the Province of Alberta.
His primary focus was helping minor hockey Calgary and was instrumental in the building of the Don Hartman North East Sportsplex. He was president and/or director on many boards involved in minor sports.

James Watt – Director
James has been in the automotive industry for around 20 years. He started out as a warehouse helper and, throughout the years, worked his way up to upper management levels. In 2009 James took on a different roll as a Business Development Manager, from there he mentored, coached, trained
business owners how to be more successful and better owner/operators.
In 2015 James took over the OK Tire in town which was formerly known as Boots and Boost. His dedication to the surrounding communities and the town has led him to be very successful.
Ok Tire has won numerous awards since 2015, all thanks to Ok Tire’s
customers and their support which is summarized well in their mission statement, “Helping the community one tire at a time”.

Hayley Poirier – Director
Real Estate Reps
Hayley is one of The REPs Group of Re/Max Realty Horizon and is a long serving 2nd generation Realtor with a goal of being a knowledgeable and results-oriented professional.
She is proud to share that she grew up in a Real Estate family. They call Strathmore their home. Hayley and her husband have 2 adult children.
An active lifestyle is important to her. She loves triathlon, yoga and running. She shares this detail because she believes that staying fit is essential to the focus needed as a Realtor. It is a demanding profession and being fit helps keep her focused on the clients needs.
She believes in giving back to the community and she volunteers with Junior Achievement (15+yr), the Strathmore Lions Club and the Strathmore Chamber of Commerce, She also supports many other projects with The REPs Group.

Bob Sobol – Director
Representative for Town of Strathmore
Bob and his wife Gina have lived in Strathmore since 2003. After retiring from the RCMP, he moved to Strathmore to open a coffee shop (The Boulevard Cafe), and ran this very busy and popular restaurant until 2005 – at which time it was sold. In 2007, Bob campaigned and was successful in acquiring a seat at the Town Council table. Since that time, he has been passionate about beautifying and enhancing the Town’s downtown. He continues to support economic development, tourism and partnerships with various organizations – all with the goal of supporting the growth of the Town’s business community. Bob is looking forward to his involvement with the Strathmore and District Chamber of Commerce as a Director and representative of Strathmore Town Council.

Tom Ikert – Director
Representative for Wheatland County
Tom was raised in Calgary and moved out to the farm, with his parents in 1968. He spent the next 20 years in the Strathmore area. He moved into Calgary, married Crystal and raised their family. They have 4 children. He purchased the family farm in 2008.
Tom is a self employed journeyman carpenter and has been running my own business since 1989. In 2017, he ran for County Council in Division 4 and is now discovering a new set of challenges. He is the County of Wheatland representative on the Strathmore and District Chamber of Commerce.

Lawrence Carriere – Executive Director

Lawrence is a small business owner with an interest in entrepreneurism. He, his wife and two sons have called Strathmore home since 2014. Lawrence also serves as a board member with the Strathmore Overnight Shelter.
