New Office and New Networking Events

The Strathmore Chamber loves nothing more than an opportunity to showcase local business. So we are pleased to be offering a new networking event ‘Business  After Five’.  Hosted by a Chamber member this is a great opportunity to create and renew contacts in the business community, and discover what local businesses have to offer. These events will run once a month from 5:30 – 7:30pm, are open to the public and free to attend.

The first Business After Five was held on August 17, hosted by Action Insurance. Attendees enjoyed refreshments, view Heather Robert’s lovely offices in the Aztec Building, chatted with staff and other attendees.

Restaurant, bar, organization, store front, or government office if you are a Strathmore Chamber member consider taking advantage of this relaxed atmosphere to network and enhance your local presence.  Call the Chamber office 403.901.3175 to see how you can host the next Business After Five.

Congratulations to all who took part in making Alberta Open Farm Days such a success. Field Stone Fruit Wines, Poplar Bluff Organics and Rocking R Guest Ranch are just a few of the agribusinesses who held outstanding events.  Thanks also to whoever was in charge of the weather; the weekend of August 20 and 21 was sunny and hot with spectacular Alberta sunsets thrown in for good measure.

The Strathmore & District Chamber of Commerce is proud to be hosting an evening of fun & games in celebration & support of Strathmore’s Royal Canadian Legion 90th Anniversary. There will be a Fun Casino, Silent & Live Auction, 50/50 Draw plus cash bar & refreshments. So mark Saturday, October 1 on your calendars. Tickets for Chamber or Legion Members $25.00, Non-Members: $35.00. these can be purchased at the Royal Canadian Legion – 230 2 Ave, Strathmore and through the Chamber website. In support of the Veterans Food Bank non-perishable food items will be accepted at the door.

Downtown Strathmore’s growth and revitalization is very much in the news these days and we are pleased the Chamber office is now located at 129 Second Avenue. Executive Director, Shelley Toderian will be there Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 – 2pm and will be pleased to tell you more about hosting a Business After Five or the Fun Casino Night at the Legion.
