Wanda is a director, writer and producer who works with clients who have an idea for a story and want to make it a reality through art — either film, stage or canvas. Some have a script and others start from scratch. She not only tells fiction pieces, but captures real life stories and experiences that have shaped individuals and organizations to what they are today.
Wanda has been directing stories on film, stage and canvas for over 18 years. Her passion is telling great stories that inspire. She believes that if a story speaks to her, that it will speak to others.
Her directing portfolio and reel can be found at www.reinholdtproductions.ca and www.vimeo.com/wandareinholdt. It includes the narrative documentary called “Are You Listening?” for Cache Productions and Telus Optik, and the feature “The Great Fear” which won awards on the 2016 festival tour.
In addition, Wanda has directed numerous film shorts including The Bandura Story, The Kitchen Girl Story, and a film for Calgary’s #1 food truck found at www.perogyboyz.com. The film “Belong…Create…Connect” is featured on www.hopebridges.ca. These shorts and others have been filmed in partnership with Calgary and area companies, individuals and organizations.
She has also been involved in Alberta award-winning productions including “Corporate Ladder” directed by Mike Peterson, has acted in films and web series including “The Off Screen Series” and has taken Film Directing and Acting Apprenticeships with Neil Schell. Her directing garnered her a “Best Director” award in 2009. She is a member in good standing of AMPIA and CSIF.
